Fengar, The Divining Moon
Fengar is the god of fate, the moon, and divine magic. Fengar takes of a faceless humanoid figure, wearing a long robe glittered with stars, and whose head reflects the different phases of the moon. Fengar and his followers spend their time attempting to interpret the gods various prophecies, with the goal of determining what is necessary to guide the world along its ideal path. The exact nature of this path is not always clear, as Fengar's worshippers engage in a variety of tasks, some seemingly irrelevant, but the god insists that each of these must be done.
Fengar's followers are all personally chosen by the god himself. Each of his worshipper personally receives a dream from the god, informing them that it is their fate to follow him, and giving them instructions on how to proceed. While some reject this destiny, those that do often meet an unfortunate end as denying the call of fate often leads to the worst destiny. Those that do choose to follow Fengar are largely left to live their lives as they choose, but from time to time they will be called upon to perform a certain task in the name of their god. These tasks vary by individual, as Fengar gives missions suited to the skillsets of his followers. For example, a famed assassin that gets chosen might be asked to kill specific individuals, while a librarian might be told to ensure a certain book is available on a certain day. The ramifications of the tasks can be difficult to understand, as the effects might not be truly felt until years after it is done, and in the case where specific events are prevented from happening, it might never be revealed what was avoided.
As patron of all divine magic, Fengar is responsible for maintaining the connections between the gods and their followers. This makes most gods wary of crossing Fengar, as though he could never completely cutoff a god from their followers, he does have some influence over how much power they can transfer to them. Most gods are content to simply leave him and his followers alone, and just hope that his plans do not interfere with their own.
