Asteri, The Star Shaper
Asteri is the goddess of the stars, the patron of arcane magic, and the goddess who separated the planes. Asteri takes the form of a hooded woman made out of stellar fire, with constellations across her clothing. Asteri encourages the study of magic, and believes that all aspects of magic should be understood, so the use of magic can reach its highest potential. Much of the goddesses time is spent developing new spells, some of which will be shared with her followers, others stored away if deemed too dangerous to be given to mortals.
Worshippers of Asteri are largely practitioners of Arcane magic. There are a few scholars who worship Asteri as a goddess of knowledge, but as magic is so central to her character there are very few who worship her without having any magical ability. There are also a number of followers of Asteri on the elemental planes, largely geniekin, who worship her for her role in the creation of the different planes, though most of them worship gods directly related to their element.
Asteri was the goddess who first proposed the splitting of the universe into different planes after the Second Calamity and the war between the gods and Genesis. This ensured that the energies of the universe would be further spread out, and could flow away from Genesis, preventing him from being awakened. One effect of doing this was that the gods also retreated into their divine realms, and can only influence the world through their followers. While most gods were in agreement that this would help protect the world, some gods are resentful of this limitation. One of Asteri's responsibilities is to have her followers ensure the stability of the planes, and to stop any god from breaking the pact that keeps them from entering the material realm.

Asteri's symbol is a golden star with a hole in the center. Followers of Asteri commonly fill that hole with a type of gem reflective of the magic they study.
