Warforged
'With the assistance of the teams from Domhanar and the Immortal City, our mages have created a magnum opus. A new race, as intelligent as any elf, and as sturdy as the mightiest giant, powered by complex clockwork and powerful magic, a new peoples to inhabit our city. I would like to introduce you, people of Pyandonaea, to Aegis, first of the warforged!' - Archmagister TenenbaumAn artificial race, the warforged were created by a combination of dwarven metalwork, gnomish artifice, elven magic, and human ingenuity. Made of magic, wood, and metal, they were created to compensate for the declining populations of Pyandonaea, chiefly serving as guardsmen and soldiers, thus the name warforged. They are not, however, mindless constructs created for war, they are people in their own right, with emotions, ambitions, beliefs and friends. After the death of Aegis, the warforged god, these constructs have unfortunately begun to deteriorate - no new warforged have been successfully created, some have become berserk, attacking all around them. Some have lost their sapience entirely, becoming simple mindless constructs. And some have simply... lost themselves.
