Vaathi, Goliath Goddess of Competition
''It is possible to disagree, while still remaining friends. That is competition, my mortal friends. It is a hard thing to manage, but a valuable one. So compete, and I will be there to watch your competitions, to arbitrate the rules and keep you in good standing.' And so Vaathi was the patron of mortal competition, in any field which it can be found.' - The Words of the Faith, Incrementum 9:26-28Every civilisation has competition, so some degree, and somebody is needed to be the arbiter of these competitions. That somebody, tradition states, is Vaathi. She is the god of the friendly spirit of competitiveness, of rules and fairness, revered by athletes the world over. Her name appears in the chants that precede many children's' games, and many whisper her name for luck before the beginning of any sort of competition. They say that she appears in person to spectate the most interesting or spectacular competitions in Ratha, and may appear to arbitrate those decisions that can't be made by mortal judges.
