Shadar-Kai

'Shadar-kai. Death-keeper, in your language. Death is sacred, as is life. What is a journey without its end? That is why we hunt, to protect the sacred journey of mortals, as we are tasked by the Raven Queen.' - Sawena, shadar-kai agent
The shadar-kai are the yin to the eladrin's yang, a race of fey who are dedicated to the protection of the wild, but finding beauty in the dark places. Serving a mysterious Archfae known as the Raven Queen, they consider death as sacred and beautiful as life, and can often be found outside of the Eldenwood combating necromancers and their servants. While their mellow behavior and fixation on the darker parts of life can be off-putting, they can make loyal companions and friends.
