Laputa, Halfling Goddess of Good Will
'The halflings sprung up from the vines and grasses of the land, and immediately began to make it their own. The plains were dotted with their warm hamlets, and all mortals could find a place beside their hearth. Such was the will of Laputa, the mother of all mortals, whose will is to care and nurture.' - The Words of the Faith, Orsus, 10:4-7A simple goddess on the surface, Laputa preaches the spread of good will in whatever way, shape or form that comes, from giving a coin to a beggar, to installing a new guard regime. Not necessarily pacifistic, Laputa's worship instead believes that violence is an acceptable last resort - if a band of orcs is rampaging through the land, or a necromancer is killing farmers for his undead army, the best thing for the common people is to put them down. Sometimes called the Mother God, Laputa is a goddess of warm food and outstretched arms, of gentle reassurances and easy conversation, of stern words and firm yet fair punishment. Pacifism and good will, sadly, cannot always go hand in hand.
