Firbolgs
'Oh yes, firbolgs exist. They're just shy. Easiest way to see one is to threaten their forest, but you probably won't be in any state to tell anyone about the sighting. No, it took me a long, long while to build up enough trust that they'll let me see them. They're friendly enough, once they realise you're genuine. They trade food and goods with me, they even let me stay with them overnight a couple of times. Though, I do feel my relationship is a bit of an exception to their usual attitude.' - Elanen Hunter, hunterFew, in the 'civilised' world, have ever seen a firbolg. They are believed to be related to the Fae, and live deep in the woods, in enclaves indistinguishable from wild trees. Despite their impressive height, they can blend into the forest easily, very rarely allowing themselves to be seen by the other races. When they do, it is for the protection of their forests - they will tell any intruders of their purpose, and ask them to refrain from harming the woods. It is believed that, after these events, firbolgs live on in legend as spirits of the woods. Some firbolgs will leave these forest enclaves, roaming the world to find more peaceful, natural areas, or to take the fight to those who threaten their native forests.
