Connaiss, Gnome Goddess of Knowledge
'Rego asked, 'What do you know, Child of the Eldenwood?' and the woman replied 'All.' 'Why do you know all, Child of the Eldenwood?' And the woman looked at him, towering over her like the mountains, and said simply 'Why not?' And thus Connaiss was divine, goddess of all that can be known.' - The Words of the Faith, Orsus 11:23-25For scholars, librarians, wizards, and stressed students, most prayers are offered to Connaiss. Patron deity of the gnomes, prizing intellect, shrewdness, and studious study, her churches are always places of learning and her servants academics. The Days of Knowledge are her holy days, when everyone is encouraged to share what they know. For a number of days, town squares are filled with wizards teaching basic cantrips, priests sharing divine knowledge, blacksmiths demonstrating how to work a forge, and pickpockets showing how to cut purses. That it's a fantastic time for such types to find an apprentice is a well-established fact, and a major part of why the tradition thrives in most of the world.
