The Great Challenge
Hosted at the start of summer each year in the Coliseum of Heroes the games for the Great Challenge are wildly popular and see fae attending from all the realms, both as contestants, and as observers. The grand coliseum is packed with people, and the nearest city, Flameheart, overflows with guests, some camping in the wide planes beyond the city, others staying in inns and taverns within. The games stretch over twelve days, with the last day being the Day of Medals, where the winners are venerated and the whole city and the camps on the planes feast and dance, often descending into orgies by the end of the celebrations. The challenges are varied, though all focused on physical prowess.
Day of Light
Held on the summer solstice, the Day of Light is the day all summer fae are strongest. It is a festival all through the realm, marked by games both on land and in the water, sand sculpture buildings, dancing, feasting and once the sun has lowered fireworks that light up the sky, chasing away the darkness with light. Dragons, particularly those who breathe fire, attend and put on epic aerial performances, dancing through the sky and flames.
