Meysiner
Where ruins and wars never stopped its people from making a way
"To fall over and give in would be to put to waste our legacy, our power and our future."
Sitting just north of Blackout Bay, Meysiner returns to the world stage with a population more determined than ever to lead their country to success. After nearly a decade of civil war, barely scraping along the outlines of the Pariton accords, most of Merysiner's labour force now focuses on manufacturing more than ever.
With the fall of Meysiner's previously booming architecture and processing industry, it moves to utilize its abundant raw materials and hardy people who have survived through the claws of civil war. Meysiner pumps out basic products with terrifying efficiency and determination, as if all of the heat previously fueling the civil war has been redirected to pushing itself up towards the sky.

History
Pre-Historical era
During the previous /78 cycle, the area of what would become Meysiner was mostly spared from The End.
Few records exist of the pre-1200 era, although tracks and worn-down shelves in caves and temporary shelters suggest it may have been a major travel route for early explorers, likely from the middle or eastern Atahrii. Some simple graves hint at possible semi-permanent settlements near the Lantern River.
Based on writing and carvings found in this era, Meysiner had a great boom during the mid 1200s up til the 1500s, and was a part of an empire that reached east and southward, possibly all the way down to Cinade. It is unknown what caused this empire to collapse, although most theories say that a drought occurred, which then led to civil unrest and eventually the empire's breakdown.
The Age of Conquest
During this time, the king of Ferochi had commissioned a group of wandering travellers from Salyt to help them compete with the growing Estoka empire. On foot, these travellers reached Meysiner, where they settled a pact with the locals to join forces, in exchange for riches and material. During the late 1600s, a war for Ferochi's throne broke out, which separated its territory into factions that fought for dominance, and some, independence. Southern Meysiner had supported Princess Cessilin the second, representing the faction of El, while northern Meysiner had hoped for independence. When an opposing faction from the north east won out, the two halves were forced to merge and become a singular territory.
For the next century, Meysiner would become a source of manual labour and a strategic area for the rising tensions with Estoka. Eventually, during the 1800s, Ferochi treaded upon the teromond islands, a strip of land claimed by Estoka. This sparked yet another battle, and with Meysiner's capital at the time, Zheligan, sieged. For the next decade, Meysiner was split down the middle, furthering the original boundaries between the north and south of the country.
Age of the Hurns
Two families, gifted in strategies of war and negotiation would later manage to change Meysiner into a neutral ground that supported neither party. During 1830, the two families married into one another, forming the Hungs family that would rule Meysiner for the decades to come. Alliances formed between Meysiner and neighouring countries, and Meysiner became a rather important power in the middle west. Major among these are the artistic boom of Londaig, further refinement of printing and fabric dyeing, and architecture that the ancient world would marvel at. However, as external threats simmered down, the family became more and more lax and corrupt. When in the late 1990s, the current ruler was assassinated, it sparked a civil war between the north and south that would rage on for nearly two decades.
