Astagre

Built during the first Year of the Realm (YR 1), Astagre, the Castle of Magnatharast, is the first and greatest Tower in the Realm, fully 100 decks high at the peak of its Crow's Nest and easily capable of berthing over twenty thousand of the Thastari (and obviously many more of the Minastari).

Among Astagre's many sub-towers are the Tower of the Protectors and the High Tower, the seat of the Line of Magnatharast.

Most of the Saga takes place in and around Astagre.

Astagre contains the Realm's only School for Officers, ensuring a steady stream of interchange with the many other Towers in the Realm.

Astagre is the chief center of textiles in the Realm, as well as the governmental center. When the Minastari planted a warren by Astagre, they brought their related expertise in silks, adding a welcome new dimension to the textile trade.
