The Crusader's Control Hub
This dimension is something of an in-between. For us crusaders, it functions as a place where we can traverse between planes. From the most typical of settlements, to single-idea planes, you will likely be able to access it, or the way to it, from here. Teleportation circles are often the simplest way to and from here, but we have a dimension lock to here. For those unaware, a dimension lock stops or limits movement between realities from outside. In Crusader HQ, there are three hubs of information, all surrounding the Dimensional Transport Center. These are the 'Public' Hub, Crusader Hub, and Experiment Hub. This is a list of what you can expect to find. Dimensional Transport Center: All who come to Crusader HQ arrive here. Unless you are a Crusader borrowing a vehicle for an expedition, you will touch base here first. From this center point, you can go to two of the branches of each hub. And from those two to the third, core section. Public Hub:
Menagerie - This is the home of the Crusader's database and physical relics. Flora, Fauna, artifacts of power. If it would be rare or better suited to learning, it's here. And by here, we mean everywhere here. The glowing crystal star, not only creates a connection for the Grid's Database. But it also distorts gravity so that every surface is a floor to find.
Cafeteria - This section is meant to host outsiders, but they mainly the Crusaders eat here. Creatures of all types eat here as various stands fight for space. Of special note is the stand for Flayer's Soulless Filets. Here co-owner spends most of his time to help keep certain guests fed.
Public Relations and Humanitarian Aid - Everyone forgets the main stay of the Crusaders is Humanitarian Aid. The largest section of the base, many people give their time to help organize the Crusader's efforts. All sorts of beings abide here, some permanently, in order to settle legal disputes, look for aid, submit grievances, etcetera. Experiment Hub:
Magic - The 12 schools of magic come together to help with casting. Here, you have a central heart around which 12 specific rooms rotate. Here, stereotypical magic items are enchanted for those who prove themselves to the Crusaders.
Science - The science hub is tower with each floor dedicated to a different dimension. An elevator at one end can swap between the floors. One should not make random inputs for floors. Doing so is a great danger.
Artifice - Just as Artifice is the art of both science and magic, both rooms lead to artifice. A console controls the many robotic claws. More importantly, most of the generic item storage is here. You can check out powerful items, much like a library. From enchanted swords to power armor. Mundane gear is also checked out, though more leniently. Crusader Hub:
Informational Relays - Much of the trouble with our operations is the logistics. From the stations within, our Case Gallants, also known as Handlers, keep our teams well informed. Many stations are here for each of the teams potentially in action.
Barracks - Being a partial military force, we need places to bunk our Crusaders as well as store munitions. Mundane power, that being munitions or vehicles, are stored in this section. It also hold a connection to the war room. An offshoot from the main path so generals can meet with Marovius in sanctuary.
Marovius - As leader of the Timeline Crusaders, Marovius does not get much rest. This hub is not really a hub for most. Instead, the hall curves from the Barracks to the Info Relays. At the side of the hall is but one door. From here, those permitted can enter her office. She sometimes informs Crusader patrons of going-ons for their work. It is also the way Marovius gets to her own living quarters.
What is a dimension lock?
A dimension lock provides security against anything which may try to break the dimensional boundary to and from a given plane. Examples of this security includes by erasing glyphs in an arcane teleportation and by deleting inputs from teleportation devices whenever possible. It is our hope that precautions like these prevent our enemies from being able to find us.
