Trouble in the Mines
Readers Note: During session #50, the party known as "We-Haul" was on a quest for a red glass lantern to solve a puzzle within The Crypt of Whispering Sorcerers. They visited the mine office, where such lanterns are commonly used. Upon entry, Andre Salmonsen greeted them surprisingly warmly. Under the impression that these adventurous types were responding to his Call to Aid posted at the Westwatchers Guild Hall, Andre, both arrogant and shrewd, quickly thanked them for their arrival and proposed a lucrative deal. Caught off guard but intrigued by the contract's potential rewards and the surrounding mysteries—and with the added necessity of the red lantern and the allure of financial gain—"We-Haul" agreed to assist the beleaguered mine operator.

There's been talk among the miners about strange noises coming from the deeper tunnels—sounds like whispers and shifting rocks. Some say it’s just the mine settling, but I’ve got a bad feeling it’s something more. The deeper we dig, the closer we get to whatever’s lurking down there. I need a group willing to brave those depths and find out what’s really going on before we have a disaster on our hands. There’s coin in it for anyone who can solve this mystery, and maybe a bit more if they manage to come back in one piece.
