The Flaming Oath

Background and Philosophy

Signature Tactic:

Their main tactic involves manipulating the grand web of gambling circles to accumulate wealth and buy critical information. Be it political secrets, unrevealed plots, or the hidden desires of influential figures, nothing remains hidden from the Oath for long. They use gambling dens as their unofficial headquarters, leveraging profits to grease palms and buy loyalties.

Within the faction, there are various ranks delineated by one's ability to gather valuable information and amass wealth. At the higher echelons, the members master the art of deciphering information, skilled in separating the wheat from the chaff.
  • High Oathkeeper: The leader of the faction, currently held by a shadowy figure whose identity remains a mystery, even to many within the group.
  • Oath Sworn Advisors: A council of experienced gamblers and spies who advise the High Oathkeeper and manage the faction's daily operations.
  • The Burning Blades: The enforcers of the faction, ensuring debts are paid, and agreements are honored.
  • Firestarters: New recruits, still proving their worth, responsible for gathering street-level information and handling minor gambling operations.

  • Information Brokerage: Selling information to the highest bidder, sometimes playing both sides in a conflict.
  • Loan Sharking: Providing loans at steep interest rates, entrapping people in a cycle of debt.
