Paulo Alcastar

Physical Description: Standing at an imposing 6'5", Paulino's bald head often catches the glint of the sun, making him an easily recognizable figure in the crowded markets and grand halls of Aventis. While his head is devoid of hair, he sports a meticulously groomed silver beard which contrasts starkly with his deep, olive skin. Paulino's piercing hazel eyes, framed by pronounced eyebrows, are always watchful and betray a life of intense experiences and secrets. His hands are large and strong, marked by old scars – remnants of his earlier years of hands-on trade and construction.   Background:   Born to a family of humble craftsmen, Paulino Alcastar's rise to the elite echelons of Aventis was nothing short of meteoric. Young Paulino, armed with an insatiable curiosity and ambition, quickly realized the potential of trade, especially in a city as cosmopolitan as Aventis. He ventured beyond his familiar surroundings, sealing trade deals that soon expanded into construction and renovation projects.   His forte was rejuvenating ancient, dilapidated structures in Aventis. Paulino had a unique vision – blending the mystique of the old world with the grandeur of the new. His projects often incorporated magical elements, preserving the history of the ancient city while also making it relevant to its current inhabitants.   His success in trade and construction wasn't purely due to his business prowess. Paulino's connection to the Guardians, a secret organization dedicated to preserving the history and magic of the world, gave him insights into the deeper, often hidden layers of Aventis. The Guardians ensured the protection and documentation of the rise of magic and the ancient artifacts that were concealed when magic deserted the world a millennium ago.   Paulino's mansion in Aventis is not just a symbol of his wealth; it's a repository of artifacts, ancient tomes, and a hub for the Guardians. While the public sees him as a successful businessman, only a select few know of his pivotal role in preserving the magic and history of the world.
Upper Wear: Paulino sports a long, intricately embroidered tunic. The fabric is a deep blue, almost black, representing his trading roots with the sea. It's adorned with gold and silver threads that draw designs reminiscent of the sea waves and the various trade routes he frequented. A high collar, embossed with tiny gemstones, showcases his elite status. Lower Wear: Loose-fitting pants, of a slightly lighter shade than his tunic, taper to his ankles. These are comfortable for the busy man he is, allowing easy movement through bustling markets or construction sites.   Accessories: Around his waist, he wears a broad leather belt adorned with gold buckles and studs, from which hang little pouches containing coins, tiny artifacts, and tools of trade. On his feet, he wears leather sandals with upward-curled toes, denoting his wealthy status. A signet ring bearing the Alcastar family crest adorns one of his fingers.   Outerwear: A long, flowing cape, which he uses for more official occasions, with a clasp in the shape of an anchor, again, a nod to his maritime trading origins
