Lady Aaliyah Pleione (born Asherah An'anat Ba'al) is a Sailor Senshi and the current Sailor Pleione.

Special abilities

Telekinesis

Aaliyah possess a restricted form of telekinesis that allows her to move objects merely by exerting her will upon them - the larger and heavier the object, the more effort it requires. There are two straight forward imits to what she can do; she can only move things away from herself; and she can only move them in a straight line. Effectively, a line is drawn from her centre to the object and then that line extends beyond the object - this is the path the object travels when her ability is used.

Astral Projection

As a Guardian of the Endless Ocean, Aaliyah is able to astral project herself into its dimension. When she is in her civilian form she can only project her soul into the Endless Ocean but when transformed into Sailor Pleione she can physically enter the realm. Accessing the Endless Ocean allows her to communicate (and travel when she is Sailor Pleione) over great distances with ease.

Personal history

Aaliyah was born Asherah on Lethe, a planet in the Pleione System that is no longer inhabited. She took the name Aaliyah as a stage name when she was fifteen and beginning on a career portraying and embodying old traditions from her culture. She awoke as Sailor Pleione not long after this but viewed being a senshi more of a distraction than a calling.
Sadly, she only lived this idealistic life for a few years before her planet came under attack from an extra-dimensional force. The strangers hit hard and fast and the Pleione Senshi were next to useless against them. So Aaliyah left her teammates to hold back the invasion and she sought help from the senshi of the neighbouring systems. She convinced them that if they didn't help, the invaders would target them next, using Lethe as a foothold.
To Aaliyah's great relief, the senshi came and a grueling battle followed. The combined efforts of the senshi managed to push back the invaders but not without losses. Several senshi died, billions of civilians too and Lethe was left uninhabitable.
Aaliyah joined what was left of her people - the small portion that had managed to evacuate - as they settled on a moon in the Merope System. In the centuries that followed, she became an icon for her people - they called her Lady Pleione.
Aaliyah was a founding member of the @Senshi Council and by default is its Pleione System representative. She is also one of the three founding members of @Triskelion.
