Utopian Grouping
The Utopian Grouping is a federal political grouping on the Plateau. It is currently the second smallest grouping in the Plateau Legislature.
A far-left organisation that grew out of the Armada of Truth. Members of the Armada who favoured reform and working within the new institutions voted in 5 AW to reform the Armada of Truth into a political party. This was mainly driven by an exhaustion of the war effort.
The Anarchists major base of support comes from the Desert Lands, with the other lands offering the grouping only token support. With the Radicals turn towards centrism in the seventies, the Anarchists became more popular in certain working class enclaves in cities across the Plateau. They lost this support when Pitact Nirvanus was elected Grand Elder.
Most of the controversy from the grouping comes from their continued support of controversial members and actions of the Armada of Truth. Although the grouping has disavowed armed revolution to achieve political change, they also argue that the political realities of the Monotherium and the Bleak Recession made alternatives to revolution impossible.
The groupings true power comes from its links to trade unions, which has grown larger than the Radicals since the end of the war.
