Octavian knows he has no chance on the throne of Everia, he is the youngest child and lives the shortest thanks to his half elf nature.
So instead of learning important ruling tasks he decided to join his father's army where he took a lot of initiative and often solved problems before they become proper threats to the empire. His father was impressed and gifted him his own special division which he can use however he pleases.
This division is today known as the Reactionary Battalion and exists out of hand-picked soldiers by Octavian himself, they specialize in rapid deployment so they can be everywhere in the empire within a couple of days. Recently Octavian maintains good relationships with neighbouring countries and often send expeditions into Stahlist lands in hope to eventually reclaim it.
