Ilee

Summary

The ilee are the supposedly-extinct pre-Gap natives of Apostae. They were known to be unique, possessing no universally shared traits. It is unknown whether the ilee are the inbred descendants of Apostae's original crew, or an engineered or captured race that somehow outlived their masters. Since the Gap ended, Apostae has been controlled by the drow and there has been no confirmed ilee sightings, although their actual extinction can't be confirmed either. Research has discovered a remarkable similarity between the DNA of an astrazoan volunteer and DNA samples of the ilee. It is suggested that the astrazoans might be the descendants of those ilee who genetically transformed themselves to face an extinction-level threat.
