Centuries after the collapse of Wave Echo Cave, a Giant Octopus wandered into the Booming Cavern through hidden underwater tunnels connected to the Sword Coast. The turbulent, crashing waters of the cavern provided a perfect refuge for the creature, offering isolation and a plentiful supply of smaller water-dwelling creatures to hunt. However, this octopus unknowingly settled in a space charged with residual magic from the long-abandoned Forge of Spells.
Over time, the latent arcane energies seeped into the Giant Octopus, imbuing it with powerful magical properties. Its skin began to glow with a radiant purple hue, and its massive tentacles shimmered with multicolored lights that pulsed in time with the cavern’s roaring waters. Now known as the Arcane-Touched Giant Octopus, the creature fiercely guards its lair in the Booming Cavern.
