Duration and Effects:
After consuming the psychotropic fungi, roll 1d4 to determine the duration of the effects in hours. The consumer gains advantage on Perception checks due to heightened sensory awareness and disadvantage on Intelligence (Investigation) and Charisma (Persuasion) checks.
Eldritch Mirage:

• The character experiences intense visual distortions for the duration of the effects. These distortions manifest as wavering forms, shifting colors, and blurred edges, making it difficult to discern details.
• The character suffers disadvantage on Attack rolls, as enemies seem to shift and warp unpredictably.
• Disadvantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks, as spatial awareness is impaired and distances are hard to judge.
• Difficulty in reading or discerning fine details, impacting tasks that require concentration on visual cues.

Hallucinatory Insight:
Once during the effect’s duration, the character can make a Wisdom (Insight) check with advantage to discern hidden truths or intentions in their environment or conversations, representing a brief moment of lucidity or altered perception.
Overcoming the Distortion:
The effects of the visual distortion are not mitigated by normal means like resting or standard healing potions. A Lesser Restoration spell reduces the duration to 10 minutes, while a Greater Restoration spell or similar powerful magic can remove the effects immediately.
