Fizbar Hammerhand is a senior artificer of Waterdeep, renowned for his mastery of arcane engineering, adaptive magical constructs, and alchemical transmutation. Though small in stature, his mind is among the sharpest in the Artificer’s Guild, constantly seeking ways to push the limits of magic and machinery. His laboratory is a place of both brilliance and chaos, filled with half-finished automatons, bubbling alchemical experiments, and massive chalkboards scribbled with wild calculations. Equal parts scholar and mad inventor, Fizbar is known for his unorthodox methods, seeing failure as an essential step toward innovation. His relentless curiosity and boundless enthusiasm for discovery make him one of Waterdeep’s most respected—if occasionally exasperating—arcane engineers.
Among his greatest achievements is his mentorship of Scarla Wiggleboot, a young and gifted gnome artificer who once studied under his guidance at the guild. Recognizing her natural intellect and raw potential, Fizbar took her under his wing, challenging her to think beyond the rigid constraints of traditional Artificer methods. Their lessons were equal parts instruction and improvisation, with Fizbar pushing Scarla toward risk-taking, bold experimentation, and new frontiers in magic-infused technology.
