Saint/Vacuum Eligni Saint Jasper Inanis (a.k.a. The Lost Saint)
Wanderlust to the Eligni is like coal to the furnace, fueling them and keeping their heart alight. The urge to roam and explore the unmapped territories of the Planet and of Layman's Belt is one that misses very few Eligni, taking hold rapidly and unexpectedly, and causing the bearer to drop everything and go. Any skills learned up to this point in their life will be flipped on their heads as they use former knowledge for a new goal. Farmers who bore the sickle and scythe in the field will adapt their skills to fighting with large, sweeping blades. Those versed in the alchemical sciences will collate their knowledge of flora and fauna and imagine new potions on the fly, flinging elixirs faster than arrows. Inventors and innovators will swap long-term blueprint design for minute-to-minute tinkering, often creating personal multi-tools capable of almost anything the adventurer needs, with the added possibility of blowing up.
It should come as no surprise to anyone, then, that there is an Eligni Saint known for their exploration, adventurousness and wanderlust. Jasper Inanis is this Saint, a Vacuum Eligni known for a heart so full of venturousness as to have taken a journey to a place no other Eligni, or any other person has yet managed to achieve: a journey beyond a Blinker. Jasper is the most recent Saint to have been cemented into the Pantheon, committed in the years following his abrupt disappearance. However, though the event occurred only ten years ago, there are few details known about him. There are a handful of people said to have known him, but not well, and no evidence of his triumph over nature has been left save for a single note.
In his early years, Jasper learned the ways of the warrior, earning coin by fighting back the creatures of the Great Forests, acting as a hired mercenary for the High Elven and Ink Elven Spires. Detailed accounts are hazy and sparse, but many Elven soldiers report seeing him in battle and having to pause to appreciate the intense performance. Jasper had, according to some, mastered the use of the urumi, a weapon that has a whip-like blade attached to the hilt. Eyewitnesses report that Inanis would spin around the battlefield, using large, sweeping arcs to tear at the flesh or legs of the night-creatures, binding them before delivering his signature blow: a single choke-like grab to the mouth of the creature. Being in his vicinity when he was fighting, it's said, would be as though walking into thinner air. It's believed by the soldiers who fought alongside him that he was capable of stealing the oxygen from the lungs of a creature he grappled with, collapsing them almost immediately when combined with the fatigue of battle and blood loss. He was a vital asset to the Elves in their campaigns against the endless monsters of the Forests and was greatly missed when he chose his new career, becoming one of the only Eligni to have had the chance to meet the High Elven Godking and awarded an Elven Plume as thanks for his service.
At around thirty, Jasper moved to Rivet's Reach, one of the smaller Eligni cities on the Belt. Records kept in the city show that he lived and worked in a small workshop by the Eastern Port, one that had a Sky Chariot landing pad on the roof. Very little of him was seen after this point, save for the occasional showing in different stores or markets. Then, on a simple afternoon with a decent showing of Blinkers, Jasper was seen climbing onto the roof to get into his Sky Chariot, the Echo Skimmer. The Chariot was tilted up, aimed straight at the Blinkers, but it paused and waited. A few minutes passed, and with the crack of a vacuum closing, the Echo Skimmer was launched into the sky, curving just around a Blinker and passing through the tear in what must have been the femtoseconds before it closed. He was gone, and has not been seen since.
In the wake of this event, his workshop was searched for any evidence of how this feat of prediction was made, as until then it had been impossible for anyone to find a way to divine any pattern or method. However, all that was found was a note left on his workbench, reading, "There's more out there than we ever imagined". No one has yet figured out what he means by this, whether he was visited by some kind of vision, whether he had made the journey beyond the Blinkers before and had come back, or if he had discovered some truth that is yet to be made public. Whatever this statement means, many Eligni have tucked it next to their hearts and redoubled efforts to understand the world around them and the potential worlds that may lay beyond this one. In the years that followed, many Eligni cited his bravery and desire to explore the unknown as Saintly behaviour, and so he was placed into the Pantheon as the final Saint.
Interestingly, Jasper is one of the only known Vacuum Elgini, as this elemental influence seems to pop up very rarely. This is a factor that has thrust Jasper's story even further into the public purview, as he would have been a rare specimen already even without the daring tale of adventure.
The only quote Jasper is known for is the one on the note he left behind, "There's more out there than we ever imagined".

Body Features
Jasper's most known feature was that he was covered in scars, big and small, from his training with the urumi. Such a weapon requires intense and long-term training to wield even in a demonstrative manner, so learning to fight with it would have taken immense effort and has left its mark.
Special abilities
Being a Vacuum Eligni, and the first to enter the public knowledge, it is unknown as to whether or not the abilities he possessed were his alone or shared amongst those Vacuum-influenced who learn to embody their element. Regardless, Jasper showed himself able to thin the air around him, to such the oxygen from those he touched, and to survive in the low-oxygen environments he created around himself. Some wonder if this ability would allow him to survive in places bereft of oxygen, such as in the void of space. This may be part of the reason why Jasper attempted the feat he did, though lends no understanding as to how he managed to achieve it.
Specialized Equipment
Jasper's urumi was rumoured to have been hand-crafted, with many soldiers claiming that an understanding of a blade that impeccable could only come through not only training but crafting the weapon itself. Whether it was made or simply decorated by Jasper, he modified it over time to be perfect for him, being used for thirty years without resorting to a secondary or alternative weapon. Sadly, the urumi was amongst the missing possessions reported after Jasper's disappearance.

Personal history
Starting his life as a fighter and warrior, Jasper spent his younger years training with the urumi, learning how to fight with force and gracefulness. This weapon, though proving to be a most trustworthy ally in later battles, was a fierce monster to tame, resulting in a large number of purple scars across his body from accidents or poor form. While a cruel mistress at first, Jasper slowly learnt to bend the blade to his will as he began fighting the crowds of creatures coming from the Great Forests alongside Elven comrades. In combat, witnesses say that he had full control, as though the blade was an extension of his very soul, whipping around him at great speeds but bringing no harm to himself or his allies.
Slowly refining his elemental abilities, he learned how to embody the element of vacuum whilst in the heat of combat. Using the rapid, swinging movements of his blade, he learnt to create a vortex localised on himself, able to suck creatures toward him. As he grew in power, he learned how to thin the air around him, forcing his enemies to fight him in states of fatigue. At the height of his battle prowess, Jasper perfected his signature strike, a terrifying action that simply involved placing his hand onto an enemy's mouth and removing the oxygen from their lungs, leaving them to succumb to asphyxiation as he continued his powerful sweeping assaults.
Education
As little is known about Jasper's upbringing, or life in general, it is not clear as to whether or not he was taught how to fight or if he taught himself. Either way, the scars that decorate his body are proof that his learning took more than just willpower.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Easily, Jasper's easiest achievement is his prediction of a Blinker and his journeying beyond one. A feat assumed to be impossible, this task must have required a dramatically profound and intelligent mind as well as balls of steel.
Jasper is also one of seven Eligni to have earned an Elven Plume from the High Elves, a signifier of a great combatant as well as a strong leader. It is unknown what has happened to this Plume, as it, along with most all of Jasper's possessions, were missing upon searching his workshop after his disappearance.

Little of Jasper's motivations are known, as he tended to keep himself to himself. However, it's clear that the spirit of wanderlust and adventure had a strong hold on his heart and his will, leading him to attempt and succeed at the impossible.

Jasper's virtues lay in his longing for adventure and how expertly he grasped his opportunity to embark on what may possibly be the greatest journey known to Eligni-kind.
