Caine-Blaidd

The Elves of the Planet do not bear the greatest reputation for kindness to species they view as lesser. With the Eligni having no Progenitor Pod, they treated them as less than people, disregarding them in all areas until one great Eligni hero, Caleb Puff, sacrificed himself to save High Elf, Ink Elf and Eligni alike. Sadly, no such event has yet occurred for the Caine-Blaidd, an ancestry of bipedal wolf-like people. The Planetary Elves tend to treat them as simple mutts, going so far as to sling the word as a racial insult towards them.   The Caine-Blaidd are, as detailed before, a wolf-like people, stretching up to just over eight feet tall and covered in thick, shaggy fur. They bear the extended face and large canines of the wolf, along with their natural ability to hunt as a pack and use their sense of smell to pick out prey from vast distances. Despite their size and ability, they number few across the Planet and Layman's Belt combined, leading to them not having any settlement to truly call their own. On top of this, the disdain that comes from the Elves has caused them great difficulty in settling anywhere and feeling comfortable, with many young pups living in fear of the Elves, believing them to want to cause harm to them. For these reasons, Caine-Blaidd tend to not stay in one place for long, so as to not cause problems or find themselves in trouble. They travel to somewhere new, offer their labour for a time, then leave a couple of months later looking for somewhere new to reside before repeating the cycle.
