God Flesh

Another relic of a forgotten era God Flesh is a material with an extensive range of uses once by the Mesitorian Imperium at its peak. Armed with God Flesh crafted armour and weapons and augmentations the Legions of the Imperium were able to conquer a considerable swathe of the Otherworlds, uniting the disparate peoples under the reign of the Emperor Mesitori. With the fall of the Imperium the art of growing, harvesting and utilising God Flesh has declined and now only very few Flesh Shapers remain. Accordingly, God Flesh relics are rare and highly sought after.

ORIGINS

The art of creating God Flesh was a gift taught unto the realms by the Elnorians when they settled into their role of shepherds to the nascent civilisations. When the great schism between the two differing idealogies of Elnorians erupted, those who desired to rule were triumphant and quickly consolidated their power. God Flesh was a useful tool as with sufficient raw materials armies could be equipped quickly and efficiently without the need for mining required for metals. During this time the Elnorians created the first generation of Orcs, crude creatures grown quickly and in large numbers. Augmented with God Flesh wrought weapons and armour, the Orcs were a formidable force that allowed the Elnorians to quickly conquer any who dared questioned their divine right to rule.

With the fall of the Elnorian civilisation in the Cataclysm and the millennia long Dark Age that followed much knowledge was lost, yet the rise of the Mesitorian Empire saw a resurgence of God Flesh when the man who would become Emperor rediscovered its secrets and used it as a key part of his conquest.

GOD FLESH WEAPONS

Weapons wrought of God Flesh can take any form, from swords, axes and maces and spears, flails and whips. They all have an organic look about them, sometimes possessing eyes and mouths that are not vestigital. Those with eyes are greatly prized as they will vibrate if they see a threat approaching and thus will be slung across the back of the bearer to alert them to an unexpected attack. They have a rudimentary intelligence but do not require feeding, only regular cleaning. The weapons themselves possess several qualities that make them valued such as self-repair, sharp cutting edges like the finest steel and crushing plates more durable than metal.

GOD FLESH ARMOUR

Resembling bone and flesh God Flesh Armour is even rarer than the weapons. There are few fully complete sets left in existence, though there are numerous whispers of vast hidden Mesitorian armouries filled with God Flesh armour and weapons. Like the weapons the armour sometimes has eyes, mouths and occasionally hair, making them appear grotesque in the eyes of many. Yet their durability and protective capability to the bearer cannot be denied.
