History
Ash was hired as Yui's personal bodyguard at fifteen, when Yui was ten. Yui initially resented the idea that he needed to be protected, but eventually warmed up to Ash. Yui has other bodyguards, but prefers to have Ash around when something disrupts his routine.
Relationship Reasoning
Cinder and Ash's powers complement each other nicely, so they often pair up for assignments. They get along well, so it's not unusual to see them together off duty.
History
Shark bite was one of the first people to genuinely welcome Ash, taking the time to introduce him to other members of the organization, and show him the ropes. Ash vehemently denies that the two are friends, but often seeks out Shark bite's company. They are much fonder of each other then they're willing to admit.
