History

Tol Vivicor was the second Imperian Forge created. Like it's predesessor, Tol Xaviend, and the two that followed it was crafted by the artisans guild out of blocks of Granite with blocks of obsidiean placed at specific points. Only members of the Artisan's Guild were allowed inside a Forge once it was completed by Imperial Decree of the Empress Shontella the Implacable, 1920 BF. To violate this decree meant an execution by the most horrible form possible in the Empire. The month long, Banefire. This decree stood until well after the Fall, so great was in dread, written into the blood and sinew of every place the Empire once called theirs.   Only the Artisans Guild was granted this level of autonomy. In exchange they worked excusively for the Imperial Family. While Tol Xaviend focused mostly on Magic Items that enforced the Empire's Will, the armor of the Shadowguard was created at Tol Xaviend, Tol Vivicor was built at request of the Guild for over 500 years of dedicated service. Tol Vivicar was where the Guild was first allowed to branch out. To create items of a more unique nature. It was here where the Guild learned to expand the duration of the enchantments to decades, where as before they would fade after a year or so.   Some of the most unique magical items came from Tol Vivicor. From it's completion in 1411 BF till it's destuction in 203 AF, Tol Vivicor was the center of the known world for innovation in the creation of magical items and artifacts. It was where the Guild retreated when the other Forges were taken or destroyed. In the end, no one knows what destroyed Tol Vivicor. The Guild was still powerful two centuries after the Fall. When a Forge fell, they left nothing for the enemy. At most anyone gained was a large keep tower. When they couldn't take something, the destroyed it.   In the spring Tol Vivicor was at Peace with every power within range to be a threat. Several had started to send envoy's about possible trade. Then in the middle of the night a sonorous explosion shattered the night and could be hear from several hundred leagues away. Dawn came and revealed a crater 150 meters across and about 50 deep, exposing the foundation stones of the Forge.   No one knows what happened but rumors were too numerous to count. Everything from a civil war in the Guild to an experiment gone wrong to a vengeful demon laying waste to the guild. The truth of that night may never be known.   It was on that day that Artisan's Guild, after over two millenia of operation, ceased.
