Tranquil Clearing
At the edge of the Nattern Forest, around ten minutes' travel away from the main road, a tranquil clearing emerges, illuminated by the soft glow of the late afternoon sun. Tall trees stand sentinel around the perimeter, their branches reaching skyward. A carpet of moss and ferns blankets the forest floor, while a gentle breeze carries the scent of pine through the air.
At the centre, a babbling brook winds its way through the undergrowth, its clear waters glistening in the sunlight. The remnants of the local logging industry can be seen dotted around the area, although it has been some time since anyone but the odd traveller has used this site.
As the weary caravan settles in for the night, tents are pitched and campfires flicker to life, casting a warm glow over the peaceful scene.
