Shend

Of all the former Wringers, Shend is probably the one who feels most at home at the Eddy. He has a lackluster ability to manipulate water, and a strong sensitivity to others' auras to an almost debilitating degree. If the Dancinglight's Dome isn't properly shielding a docked boat, Shend will be the first to point it out.   He is the oldest of the anonymous Wringers--that is to say, those whose names were not widely known and are not now attached to a negative reputation or any orders for arrest. If he chose to, he could get away with settling on any island as long as he shares no details of his past, but he says often that he is happier at the Eddy than he has been anywhere else.

Like the Water Seekers of the Old Eddy, Shend is drawn to calm, a state invariably absent during his time as an active Wringer.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Even as a child, Shend had a knack for picking an anxious aura out of a crowd. Kezlaf took advantage of this skill to identify and arrest suspected Dissolvers.   What Shend didn't realize until he was much older is that a turbulent aura could be caused by more than guilt, and even guilt could have a source other than betrayal of the Unity.
