NovelEmber-ish and Kinda-Sorta WorldEmber Prep
There being no official NovelEmber pledge, my WorldEmber homework serves double duty. But...
I will not write a novel.

Well. That was a month.
It went something like this:
Day 1: start chapter 2, >500 words.Sure enough, I ended up sketching 15 pages. If a picture really is worth a thousand words, then I have nailed my planned wordcount. Unfortunately the chapters I intended to write are still a mishmash of disconnected snippets, so I won't be claiming the winner's badge. Even if I throw in my rubber-ducking what's wrong with chapter 2, I barely cleared half what I aimed for. It was a good try, just disappointing. And while I was juggling all that, there wasn't any headspace left for the WorldEmber homework. So my meta is only slightly updated, I've done nothing to enhance my world's front page, I don't have any inspiring images or music, and I'm still the digital hermit I've always been. WorldEmber has already begun and I'm still tying my shoes at the starting line. And yet, somehow, I feel ready.
Day 2: start chapter 3, >500 words.
Day 3: work on both, >500 words. Me: Yeah! This is going great! I'm totally on track to have these done by the end of November!
Brain: No.
Me: Say what?
Brain: No. Now you're going to fix the problems in your first chapter.
Me: Oh. Well, that makes sense to do. And it'll still count, because-
Brain: By adapting it into a comic book.
Me: Why do you do this to me?
