fowl gloves
Domesticated fowl are generally more docile than their wild counterparts, but are still capable of causing damage to people when they are agitated or injured. Fowl gloves protect hands and arms from injury while still allowing the user to handle the birds to care for them or collect eggs.
The gloves are made of a close-fitting cloth arm covering that reaches from the elbow to the palm, leaving the thumb and fingers free. A hard shell attached to the back of the cloth extends from halfway up the forearm to beyond the extent of the fingertips, with an offshoot covering the thumb. The finger and thumb portions of the shell are connected by pleats of cloth to hold onto a bird's neck without hurting it.
