Session 41: Oh right, there was a statue

General Summary

I see a faceless god. He awaits you at the end of a long and winding road, deep in the mountains.

The Wandering Apocalypse are ever still in the temple. Somehow. Despite half of the temple’s denizens having literally disappeared into thin air. I’m honestly wondering whether a megadungeon was a good idea. Nevertheless, they are still inside the Amber Temple. They went back up the stairs, they sat around for a good while, then went looking downstairs.
Using their collective intelligence in combination with some small hints, they figure out that the hooded god referenced in the card might refer to the hooded statue at a very prominent location in the temple’s central hall. The statue which they’ve known to be hollow for the past five days, and whose spellcasting seemingly vanished following the disappearance of most creatures in the temple.
I digress, they find the hidden door in the back of the statue and go up the spiral stairs inside, coming upon a rather cozy home. It is here that they find their last fabled artifact, the Sun Blade, brought here by Sergei von Zarovich himself. Naturally, they gave it to the most suited person. Ha. If only.
They also encountered a ghost as they explored other parts of the temple. That’s basically it.
