Session 15: Of Hills and Wine

General Summary

Our Brave Band of Questionable Intellect went further down the path, but decided that they wanted to take the road less travelled on an intersection. Now I say road, but I mean they plowed straight through a forest. In this forest, they met a muddy man and his twigs. The muddy man was not really a problem, but our short buddy almost got the short end of the stick. Afterwards, they decided to go back to the road and camp there for the night. After merely seeing a dark shape during the night because you guys are insanely lucky, the awoke to a fast approaching storm. In their bid to seek shelter, they once again set on, and found themselves before an intersection. They decided to go south, and found shelter in an old, long-since abandoned shack next to an apple orchard. Werewolves might have been involved, but save for a missing scarecrow nothing really out of the ordinary happened as they took shelter from the rain.
They awoke, and quickly came upon the Wizard of Wines vineyard, target of at least one quest. They decided to ignore it completely and went onwards, following the trial into a dark wood. They took the wrong path at a split in the road, almost fell into a hole, and fought more sticks. They fared a bit better this time around. Onwards they went, until they came upon a hill covered in dead grass and circles of black cairns, with a statue of roots and packed earth on top in the visage of everyone's favourite Not-Dracula.
They lobbed a firebolt at it, and decided to run once two not too happy mudmen emerged from the ground. The spooky chanting from beyond the hill did not help, but they didn't get a look at what exactly it was for. Instead, they went back down the road, managing to avoid more twigs until they once again came upon the vineyard. Roads be damned, they entered the vineyard itself, and quickly found out that it was seemingly quite alive. Twigs emerged from all around, and our Band of Questionable Intellect quickly departed in a chase through the vineyard. They managed to get out without too much of a hassle, with Andrius deciding to just plow through the dead grapes in a rather bulldozing fashion.
The session ended with them meeting a rather old man, the Wizard of Wines himself, though he's not really a wizard, and them agreeing to aid him in trade for wine.
And gold for Grasha.
