Session #20
General Summary
Kae and Nilsa continued to explore the library. They found an old data pad in a dusty corner with some small bits of information about the Leviathan. The librarian nearby fiddled with the pad and got a few more sentences. It read something like this:
“The Leviathan was a gargantuan and savage beast that terrified the 9th World about 2000 years before. A mighty warrior rose up and defeated (notice DEFEATED) the beast.”
As it was not much to go on, the adventurers looked for further answers. The librarian remarked that the data pad was from old technology, around fifty or sixty years before, when there was a previous head librarian. That librarian had headed off into Wranna’s Way not two years earlier and was not seen from since. The current librarian gave them the tablet and asked Kae and Nilsa not to tell anyone that he had given it to them. With all that information in mind, the adventurers headed off to the market.
Meanwhile, Spin, Irond, Bane, and Tobeon had visited the Ceaseless Market to get weapon and equipment upgrades. They also visited Chelvan’s Workshop and received an energy blade of some sort.
As Kae and Nilsa walked through the town square, they realized that a large statue of a boy had begun to move. It slowly walked to the Midnight Gate. Nilsa began to throw sticks and rocks at it.
The PCs on the shopping trip caught wind of the excitement and soon joined Kae and Nilsa in following this robot. It led them into the heart of the Jade Colossus! The PCs found many interesting things in the ruin, including greasy shadow people, dangerous alien eggs, and a terrifying zip line that almost resulted in the death of Kae. However, Bane saved him last minute from a squishy demise.
The PCs followed the automaton through Wranna’s Way and eventually found the Mouth of Exaltation. It answered a question about the Jade Colossus.
“How are the Jade Colossus and the Leviathan connected?”
The Mouth answered, “The Jade Colossus was the palace of the Leviathan.”
Around the adventurers, they continued to feel the pulsing of the Jade Colossus.
