Session #15

General Summary

Bane, Ephyra, Tobeon, and Kae (joined by Patrick the Hunter and Bob the Bandit) set out from the Hamlet of Idling to destroy the ravage bear] threat. While tracking the bears through the forest, Tobeon got too close to a couple of Golthiars; said creatures promptly attacked the group and were dispatched.

Next, the group was challenged by the cliffs of the worldship. Bane and Ephyra banged their shins up trying to climb, and Tobeon finally made the climb leaving a rope and driving spikes into the cliffside for the others. Bane and Ephyra now took their time and finally ascended. Kae searched nearby and found a Chirog which he promptly tamed and rode its back to the top. Once up on the ledge, a large pipe suddenly came crashing down, threatening great bodily harm to the entire group! Fortunately, thanks to some quick thinking and actions, the party found and pried open a doorway and ducked inside just in time to avoid the falling pipe.

Once inside, they disturbed a group of Chance Moths. The adventurers handily dispatched them, although Ephyra's eyes now glowed green and she could see in the dark. The group found some very rare armor artifacts which Bane and Kae promptly put on. Emerging through the back of the cave onto the cliff top, freezing temperatures threatened the group. Thanks to some warm clothes, the group overcame this challenge easily. While tracking the bears, Bane fell through some ice, and the group worked quickly to pull him out before he froze to death. Finally, the group found the bears den!

Thanks to an illusion from Kae, one of the ravage bears split off and was lured to crash through the ice. Kae and Ephyra dispatched the bear before it could struggle out of the ice. Meanwhile, Bane and Tobeon went back and forth several rounds with the other bear. Despite the bear swatting both of them, Bane finally managed to behead the bear and end the threat to the Hamlet of Idling! Much tired from their adventures of the day, the group descended down the other side of the sloping cliff into the forest and camped for the night.
