Blood of Hrothmund

The Blood of Hrothmund is the most highly sought after blessing from the God of War, those who are granted it becoming endowed with a fraction of the incomprehensible physical and paracausal might of Hrothmund himself. Few have achieved in being granted it, but those who have were and still are capable unimaginable feats. Notable entities that acquired the ability include Deirdre, Goddess of Death and Ruin, Asbjorn, God of Strength and Heroism, Hrodulf Iron-Heart, Runa Blackhammer, Valamar the Black, Argus Green-eye, and Valdr the Demon.

Effect

The user is endowed with the physical strength of Hrothmund, tactile telekinesis, and durability of a god, their bodies capable of withstanding exponential amounts of strain, far beyond that of mortal men, who would immediately be torn apart. The user's muscle density in exponentially increased, increasing their mass and allowing them to lift things several times larger than they are above their head with ease, with the potential to hold a severed Chain of Primordia and keep a realm from being swallowed by the Abyss-beyond-Realms.

Side/Secondary Effects

So long as the ability is active, the person must endure the non-physical pain of self-immolation. They will not burn from this in any way, but the pain is excruciating, Hrodulf Iron-Heart describing it "Like countless swarms of wasps stinging every part of the body all at once." Also, the more frequent or intense of an activation, the more psychological changes occur, making the individual more aggressive and short-tempered.

Manifestation

The veins around the muscles being used tend to glow a deep red to bright orange, depending on how much they are tapping into the ability, and intense muscle shredding and regrowth. Hrothmund was rumored to have even sustaining a light blue color during the process of tearing apart the realms during the Separation.

First discovered by Deirdre, who felt a tugging in her soul towards her father's indomitable strength when she was captured and chained by Giants, who threatened to torture, defile, and murder the Heir to the Jagged Iron Throne.

A user, after acquiring the ability, must tap into their anger and pain, and reach out across reality and feel for the essence of Hrothmund, who will be personally overseeing the circumstances to decide how much of his strength to give.

Effect Duration

So long as they are in need, the blood of Hrothmund will last, before slowly dissipating

Effect Casting Time

Depends on the user; Valamar the Black and Valdr Varricson are both recorded as calling upon the ability near instantaneously, where as Argus or Hrodulf had difficulty managing to focus long enough to call on Hrothmund.

Level

Few Mortals can manage withstanding the activation, only the Dominus, or someone of equal paracausal ability with the ancestry of Hrothmund can call upon it.

Applied Restriction

A user must be in clearly dire circumstances or be overwhelmed and consumed by grief and rage. In the presence of Joldr, the ability is weakened, and, in most cases, completely nullified when used after Rodeinmaar has been activated.
