The Frozen Wastes are Created

As an extra measure, the Watchers freeze the region in which the Cave Stalkers began their civilization, creating an impenetrable ice wall between the Halocline Pits and the rest of the Nightlight Zone. The Cave Stalkers are mostly trapped inside the Pits, and species such as the Brine Worm and Abominable Crab migrate from the Wastes to other environments. Meanwhile, various species go extinct, but the majority of the realm regains environmental stability.
