MEGATRON, aka GALVATRON
Founder and leader of the Decepticons, Galvatron is here to set the masses free!
Raised by overly doting creators Lugnut, Strika, and Obsidian, Megatron feels smothered and isolated from his roots in Tarn. Full of spite for the unjust society he’s unable to change, he acts out as a picture-perfect juvenile delinquent. He was friends with Orion when he was younger, but as his anger grew, he drifted away, eventually forcing Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker to be his lackeys. He doesn’t much care about his acceptance to the Academy beyond the opportunity to find members for his fledgling band The Knights of Unicron, even though he’s only written a single power ballad called “Towards Peace”. Even though the trine are larger than his size 3 tracked frame, he knows how to throw his weight around and use dirty tricks to get his way.
After discovering the Requiem Blaster in a pile of rubble, Megatron claims it for himself and upgrades into Galvatron, a fearsome warlord and gladiator named for an ancient tyrant. As founder and leader of the destructive gang the Decepticons, he commands Hellscream, Cyclonus, and Scourge in their war against functionism. Taking advantage of the supernatural disasters that plague the Academy, he destabilizes segregated infrastructure and spreads his message of revolution against the system, but is often stopped by their counterparts the Autobots. His powers are devastating blasts from his cannon, a terrifying roar, an energon blade, fiery booster jets, and a comprehensive knowledge of melee combat. Should he see his personal nemesis Optimus Prime, he’s likely to abandon all plans to attack him instead, lost in a grudge that may never be resolved.
