While it might be difficult to pick them out of a crowd, up close it’s obvious from their kibble that Makeshift is a minibot Mutacon, someone disabled from forging with the lack of an alt mode. This doesn’t impact their health, despite being viewed as worthless in the optics of functionism, nor their intelligence, as they passed the Academy entrance exams just fine, it just means they face an awful lot of framism. The Shadowmaru Compact specializes in taking maligned frametypes like theirs, but even the patron Black Shadow wasn’t always as considerate as he should have been. Even the Academy is not quite the safe haven it should be, with students occasionally bullying them, or spreading rumors that they’ll steal someone’s identity with the poorly understood transscanning ability that Mutacons have. So far, they haven’t made any genuine friends, but their roommates are actually pretty nice, even that super nervous Velocitronian Blurr. They admire the work the Decepticons are doing, working to change perceptions and defeat functionism, but there’s something about the Decepticon message that just isn’t quite enough…
Discovering the Amalgamate Scythe accidentally swept into their belongings, Makeshift undergoes their greatest change and upgrades into Sixshot, an enormous four-armed multichanger named for their overwhelming firepower in all five of their alt modes. While originally they were a Decepticon, they discovered that the members of their faction were in fact a few of the same younglings who bullied them on occasion. Disgusted with the hypocrisy, they promptly deserted and drifted for awhile, before meeting two younglings who shared their ideals. Thus, they join Abominus and Airachnid as a member of the Predacons, fighting for justice and safety in overlooked communities where the other factions might not reach. Their powers are five alt modes of varying functions, near-liquid transformation sequences that always go smoothly despite how complicated their frame is, acute senses and incredible stamina and durability, four main cannons and the ability to generate multiple smaller guns, size and mass shifting along with almost instant regeneration, and the Scythe of many forms, constantly flowing into new shapes to slice and stab any target. Their sheer size and strength means it’s difficult to take them down, but Elita 1 often is the first to leap at them in the midst of the fray.
