Ordensstaat Burgund

SS State of Burgundy

The SS State of Burgundy (German: Ordensstaat Burgund) is a country in western Europe. De jure, the country is a part of the Greater Germanic Reich, but it maintains de facto independence from Germany, with its own military, economy, and political institutions. The country itself is completely administered and operated by the Burgundian Schutzstaffel, otherwise known as the Burgundian SS. The head of Burgundy and the Reichsführer of the Burgundian SS, Heinrich Himmler, preaches his own ideological doctrine known as the "Burgundian System". This ideology views the classic National Socialism practiced in Germany as increasingly decadent and inefficient and seeks to revitalize it based off extreme militarism and state spartanism.   The population is controlled through fear and brutality. The Burgundian military is one of the best in the world, and is heavily integrated into everyday life. It is said that the nation has "more work camps than houses" in which anybody who speaks out against the state are forced into. The state is one of the most successfully Germanized regions of the Reich, being about 40 percent ethnically German.   The country was formed to keep Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler happy after he attempted an SS coup due to the German economic crash in the 50s. The hope was to keep Himmler from German politics, and allow him to entertain his fantasies which he alone accepted. The new country was to be made up of the former area of Reichskommissariat Belgien-Nordfrankreich and the German Military Administration in France which included 'Zone interdite'. The capital was to be called Ost-Paris (East Paris). The result of this is an ever-growing extremist tumour to the west of the German Reich and the increasingly unhappy French population which had their capital split in two and their lands severely reduced.    Burgundy is also called "der Schattenstaat", or the "Shadow State". In essence, the Burgundian government controls everything - information, media sources, the people, and even the SS. Nobody knows what is happening in Burgundy from the outside peering in. The society of Burgundy is a dystopia, in which the totalitarian government purges everyone who doesn't fit the standard made by the government.
