The Guild Primer

The New Frontier is a campaign world built around Mongoose Traveller, 2nd edition. After a long period of relative peace and prosperity, the Age of Unity came to an end in a cataclysmic conflict known as the Jred Scourge. After a almost two centuries of constant fighting, a desperate humanity indirectly caused The Great Cataclysm, shattering galactic civilization into a million tiny pieces. Since then, humanity has slowly been recovering from the resulting Long Night, and in the current day and age have finally entered into a new era of rediscovery, a new frontier.   Players are expected to play Spacers, usually working class people working on an interstellar vessel running cargo and passengers, and, perhaps, getting into trouble along the way. For most, every day will be a struggle to keep the lights on, food on their plates, and hydrogen in their reactors. While this happens the greater powers of the world, states fighting over ideology, corporaitons competing for profits, and vast religions with their own dogma seek to control the fates of the common person, and our Spacers will be made to navigate around these greater powers even as they have to confront the more mundane dangers of the world around them.

The Myriad Humanities

Though no sapient alien life has been encounted in the galaxy, save the Jred, humanity itself has diversified considerably in the days since the human race left its cradle. Humans were adapated, voluntarily or not, to suit many conditions, from being transformed into beings strange and exotic, to the more mundance pancea programs that enabled Earthborne peoples to survive the wide variety of bacteria and viruses that have been founded, or scattered around charted space, to indeed the rare few who avoided adaptation at all.
