Water slimes are sought out by humans due to the slimes having a gentle nature and natural ability to purify water. Unlike most types of slimes water slimes are not an aggressive breed of slime they will not actively pray on humans and normally do not attack if not provoked and are valued in many settlements for their ability to consume polluted and unsanitary water and produce purified drinking water. Many large towns or cities breed large numbers of water slimes to clean reservoirs and sewers. Also do to water slimes usefulness and being non treating to humans they are also often kept as pets by many individuals.
