The Red Raven Tribe

A tribe of humans living in the hills of Appalachia that is part of the Union of Eleutheria's territory. The Red raven tribe is a strong, savage tribe that many consider barbarians. The Red raven tribe will often hire themselves as mercenaries or as soldiers in the Eleutherian army in exchange the Eleutherian government gives the Red ravens tribe a large amount of autonomy over their home territory.

Culture

The culture of the Red Raven tribe values strength above almost anything else including intelligence. The strongest Red Raven warriors are normally the leaders and are seen as the most desirable and being weak is seen as a disgrace. The Red Raven tribe likes to keep to themselves at a low-tech level willing to give up some comforts to keep themselves strong and out of respect for their ancestors.

They pride them self's on being largely self-reliant and they value freedom above all else. And well, they will consider themselves to be proud and loyal citizens of the Union of Eleutheria and will go into battle to protect it they will never say they are ruled by anyone. They fight for their kin and the others in the Union of Eleutheria are their extended kin. Do to sticking to their low-tech tribal culture of their ancestors and their high value in their physical strength it has left many in Eleutheria to consider the Red Ravens as barbarians.

History

The red raven tribe are descended from a pre-Conflux motorcycle gang who fled into rural Appalachia to escape the chaos the Conflux was causing were they mixed with the native population of the hills. Over many years they morphed into a new culture and began to form into a new tribe and over those many years the tribe has grown strong with years of battles with mothmen, skinwalkers, troops of dire baboons and tribes of goatmen.
Over many years of survival in their territory the red ravens have learnt how to tame and use many types of creatures. The Red Ravens raise horses and dogs as well as train many types of cryptids such as Razor boar.

Military

The Red Ravens have a well-earned reputation for being savage barbarians in battle to crush their enemies and see them driven before them. A Red Raven warrior usually takes one of two paths as a warrior the path of the bear warrior and the path of the wolf warrior.
The Red Raven warrior that fallows the path of the bear are the front line and shock troop that attack their enemies head on often using pure force to defeat their enemies. Many Red Raven bear warriors are berserkers that go into a bloodthirsty rage that run head long at their enemies and rip them apart at close range. Many other Bear warriors ride on large war beasts that can crush their enemies. Red raven warriors of the bear usually carry a large melee weapon like a battle hammer or battle ax.


The Red Ravens that fallow the path of the wolf warrior are usually rangers that track down their enemies and attack from the wild. Other Red Raven wolf warriors are Beastmaster's that use many of the creatures that the Red Raven tribe have tamed. Many are mounted warriors that ride on quick creatures like horses or their steel horses to do hit and run attacks. Red raven warriors of the wolf usually carry a silent weapon like a bow and arrows, tomahawk or spear.



Red Ravens warrior will also usually carry a one-handed war club to be use at close range fighting and learning how to use it is a Red Raven rite of passage. And finally for a side weapon most Red Ravens carry a combat knife, machete, tomahawk or brass knuckles.

Technological Level

The Red Raven tribe usually live on a tribal level of technology. This is mostly on purpose the Red Ravens willingly give up many opportunities for greater comforts and luxury to keep themselves strong.

Religion

The Red Ravens primarily worship two gods Rohnc the god of war and bloodshed and Lupa the goddess of hunting, loyalty and dogs.

Most Red Raven warriors the fallows the path of the bear worship Rohnc and pray to him for strength.
Well most Red Raven warriors the fallows the path of the wolf worship Lupa the goddess and pray to her for cunning.

Trade & Transport

The Red Ravens are mostly self-reliant but do trade with the rest of the Union of Eleutheria for food rations, fuel, firearms and ammo things they cannot produce on their own and in return the Red Ravens often sell themselves as mercenaries or soldiers to pay their debts.

Being mostly low-tech transportation is limited usually only going on foot many Red Ravens raise horses but the most privileged Red Ravens ride motorcycles that they call steel horses.
