The Cult of the Raven or the Raven Cult is a death cult that reveres death and the afterlife. And well the Cult of the Raven reveres the dead and practices necromancy the followers of the Undying Raven are taught to hate the intelligent undead like vampires or lichs seeing them as a mockery of their deity, well things like zombies or skeletons are seen as no different than a golem or a robot.

History

Followers of the cult of the raven claim that on the day of the confluence the founder of the cult a man named Daniel Wilson, was just one of the many people that died that day, however as he laid there dead the great undying raven restored him to life to be his herald on Earth. After that Daniel then began to gather followers to worship the undying raven.


The Raven Cult is held in low regard from many in the Union of Eleutheria, when the Union began to expand into the Raven cult's territory the cult members wanted to join the new nation and have their religion allowed and recognized. But well the Union of Eleutheria allows freedom of religion for any non-radical religion the Raven Cult has a history of performing human sacrifice and necromancy that goes against the Unions rules for religions that are allowed in their borders. However, after the cult of the raven insured that their religion no longer practiced human sacrifice and that they can be a great asset to the emerging country the members of the raven cult wore given full citizenship and the raven cult was given status as a fully recognized religion.

Tenets of Faith

The followers of the raven cult practices sacrifice as the most holy of tenet of the religion, it does not have to be a sacrifice of blood however someone can make a sacrifice of food or some other Idom of value. Followers of the religion will sacrifice items, to the Undying Raven usually offerings of food are given but almost anything can be a sacrifice. The greater the sacrifice the greater show of faith, blood sacrifice is seen as the greatest offering that can be given but the cult of the raven have stopped all human sacrifice. (at least in the open)


Well the Cult of the Raven Priesthood reveres the dead and practices necromancy the Cult of the Raven followers are taught to hate intelligent undead like vampires and will often hunt and kill them on sight.

Granted Divine Powers

Some of the Raven cult priesthood are given power by the Undying Raven like the ability to speak to the dead or to make undead thralls.
