Before the grate Conflux the Palisade entertainment company spent billions to design their own high tech mascot costumes to be used by their employees for use in their theme parks, store opening, shows and other things like that.
The mascot costumes that were used by the Palisade company were far more advanced than the typical cartoon character costume. In the head of the mascot there is a voice changer so the actor can better portray the character they are supposed to be. Also in the head is a phone and computer that was able to connect with the Palisade network. The mascots head had a heads-up display with facial recognition software that connects with not just the Palisade company network but with social networks so that the actor inside the costume can recognize anyone in the Palisade friends club and bring up information on them to have a real conversation with them. And the mascots facial recognition heads up display was also connected with police databases to identify and call authorities on any predators that enter the park.

After the grate Conflux the mascots of Palisade continue to haunt the ruins of the Palisade theme park. It is unknown if there are still people wearing the mascot costumes anymore. But the mascots are now hostel creatures who attack anyone who enters the park well still speaking in the funny cartoon voices. Why this is happening is unknown many believe that the mascots kidnap humans to take them into the tunnels under the park to force them into the mascot costumes to make them new mascots.

In the post-Conflux era many of the mascot costumes have been modified in deadly ways like the costume's paws have been given claws using racer blades or knives.
