Graverun

Graverun is a new frontier town.

Demographics

Almost all the people in Graverun are simple townsfolk, most of them are farmers or craftsmen who are just trying to get by day to day in the new dark age. Most townsfolk spend most of the day in the fields growing and harvesting the town's main crop potatoes, a few other are the towns craftsmen who make the tools that the other townsfolk may need. Graverun rarely sees any outsiders most strangers are usually just passing through.

Industry & Trade

The town has no fixed form of currency being so deep in the new frontier and like many other new frontier settlements Graverun depends on a barter system.
The main product that the town grows are potatoes, that are used for food, but the town also makes potato Alcohol that they trade to other nearby frontier towns for supplies or other goods. Other than potatoes some of the townsfolk have formed their own guild to hopefully make a profit in exploring nearby pre-conflux ruins.

Infrastructure

In the town is a dirt road that passes through the town with log cabins on both sides where most of the townsfolk live, much of the land around the town is used for potato fields and some of the lucky townsfolk may have one or more cow. Other than the farms the town has a blacksmith, general store and saloon.

Threats

The biggest threat to the town is the giant spider nest that lies west of Graverun. The spiders have attacked the farms taking livestock and occasionally a settler or two, over the last few years the spider nest has been getting bigger and attacks are becoming more common, the towns folk know that the spider nest is a problem and is growing but don't know how to fix it. They don't have the fire power that will be needed to destroy the nest or kill the queen spider.
