House Tharashk

The second-most recent Dargonmarked House to surface--and perhaps the most up-and-coming--Tharashk has created a niche for itself in Khorvaire in the form of capable bounty hunters and near-exclusive rights to hire monstrous humanoid mercenaries from Droaam. They are the only House to have secured such an agreement with the Daughters of Sora Kell, and lean on it heavily to keep their coffers full. Tharashk employs humanoids (and occasionally others) of all shapes and sizes, but the Mark of Finding only manifests on its human and half-orc members. Most recently, they negotiated a charter that allowed the founding of Khyber's Bounty.

Structure

House Tharashk is run out of its primary headquarters in the Shadow Marches, though other major enclaves exist in Sharn and Greywall. The Triumuvirate, a council representing Tharashk's three major clans, governs all its affairs at home and abroad.

Territories

The Byeshk Mountains are appropriately named for having an abundance of their namesake magical metallic ore. The Khyber’s Bounty charter lays claim to a significant region of this mountain range, though currently it supports only one active mine. Mining here without a direct sanction from House Tharashk is a serious offense, and the House has full jurisdiction within the borders outlined by the charter to deal with such cases. The charter includes a workaround for the clauses in the Korth Edicts that prevent the Dragonmarked Houses from owning land: the claim is treated as “foreign soil,” but fails to detail a specific nation or government to which it belongs, effectively giving House Tharashk full control.
