Sonia (SOH-nee-yah)

"The daring Sonia grows ever more curious!"
Sonia is an excitable, curious teenage girl who was adopted by the church of Kansen at a young age. A self-taught pilot of flying toasters, she loves to daydream about adventuring in the worlds beyond her home of Diem Farella. She will often get so caught up in her inner fantasies that she'll narrate them out loud in the third person.

Abilities:

  • Auriga Training: Sonia's piloting skills are quite advanced for all her practice with flying toasters. She is well on her way to becoming a capable Auriga paladin.
  • Herald Disciple: Kazar is training Sonia as a disciple in the ways of espionage.

Sonia is friendly and curious, and her knack for getting into trouble makes the older characters instantly want to be her parental figures. Sonia was fairly isolated from others and she doesn't have many friends her own age.

History

Sonia and Kazar met when Sonia stumbled upon Kazar's listening post. Suffering from ferningitis, Kazar helped Sonia recover and the two became friends. Upon hearing Sonia's connection with Yanell Tamarind, Kazar petitioned Argus to authorize Sonia to become her disciple.   As her ward, Kazar has a responsibility to teach Sonia her trade and further her formal education in preparation to become a paladin. Sonia is grateful for the opportunity, though organizing records and watching from a distance feels a little at odds from what she was expecting.

Nicknames & Petnames

Fedros started referring to Kazar as Sonia's "Aunt Kaz", and the title stuck.
