The Multiverse

The Multiverse is a collection of Planes (Universes) that fall within three categories: Material, Energy, and Spiritual. Overseen by the All-Father, Ahzgael, The Multiverse is in the midst of a Divine Cold War in which two factions of Deities, commonly referred to as the Light and Dark Pantheons, fight each other through Mortal proxies, called Champions. This conflict is the result of the Divine War, in which the Deities fought each other directly and, in so doing, nearly destroyed The Multiverse and left it forever changed. Now, the Divine Cold War has entered a new stage as Magic and Science increasingly merge to create new forms of technology and a new form of warfare between groups of Mortals. However, the Eldritch Lords and Undead Masters, two factions within the Dark Pantheon who are extremely chaotic in nature, have begun to stir after centuries of seeming dormancy, threatening to undermine the plans of Light and Dark Deities alike. The result of all this is that the need for Champions, and the weight of their responsibilities, has never been greater. As the Deities continue to scheme, to the benefit and detriment of Mortals, will the Champions be able to keep things from falling into a chaos not seen since the Divine War or will they be the instruments in the destruction of countless lives?
