The Multiverse

The creation

The creator

The multiverse saw it's first light only 16 years ago, at the same time the creator was born, but thanks to the weird time properties some of the universes have existed for much longer. Not much is known about the creator, except that she's the same across the whole multiverse and is in direct control of everything in it.

The worlds

Across the multiverse, you can find worlds vastly different from each other. Some universes are huge expansive galaxies, with many different races and cultures. Others are small kingdoms or even villages, with just a few people trying to get by. In some worlds there are fantastical beings, others have mastered space travel and a few reflect the creator's own world. New worlds are created all the time, and sometimes get destroyed. Noone is sure how many worlds there are in total, but it's hundreds if not thousands.

The links

What are they?

A link is something or someone you can find repeated across the multiverse. If it's a person they may or may not be aware of it, but you can find others very closely resembling them. Often the two links have a very similar personality but live in worlds completely different from each other. Sometimes the link instead is a place or item. In these cases, the link is often intended and sometimes allow people to go between the different universes.

Known links

One of the only well-known links is The red dagger. It goes by many names throughout the multiverse, but it exists somewhere in them all. The people aware of the other universes and its links have theorized that the dagger holds some kind of special meaning to the creator.

Author's Notes

Hello! And thank you for reading my article!
This was made during the Summer Camp 2018 challenge. I won't be editing any of these to keep them for looking back on. That being said some I'm really not happy with, so I'll most likely put up an edited version at some point. If I do you will be able to find the link on the top of the page

This reminds me of 'His Dark Materials' trilogy, where there is a knife that can cut windows to other worlds. Very interesting!

Sounds like a cool concept! I don't really have any plans with it for now, but I might revisit. Thank you for the read and comment ^^
